The Grand Krewe of Sphinx was founded in 1935 as a secret society, ten years later they became an open Krewe under the old Cotton Carnival. At that time they began to have a King and a Queen.
The Grand Krewe of Sphinx will celebrate their 63rd coronation this Spring.
